Who Are We?
The Indie Chat is a small independent music blog for both the fans and the artist. We strive to make the connection as easy as possible, directly sharing new music, reviews and introducing new independent artists on the scene.
Here at The Indie Chat we provide a platform for new indie pop artists to promote their music, alongside creating a hypothetical 'desire path' for our readers to discover their favourite music.

The Founder
The Indie Chat was founded by myself, Emily Chester, back in 2019 where I have grown the idea from a concept into the community that it is today. Having studied music for the last six years from the age of fourteen, I have always had a passion for singing and performing myself. However in the more recent years since studying at the Academy Of Contemporary Music, I have surfaced a fresh and exciting new interest for journalism, which has lead me to The Indie Chat!
The Indie Chat is a very special and meaningful endeavour of mine that is there for the listeners and the artists, just as much as it is for me. Studying for a total of four years at ACM allowed me to spend endless amounts of time surrounded by aspiring artists, which is why The Indie Chat blog is so important- if we can help by making it that ever so tiny bit easier for the fans and the artists to connect, then I've done my job.
